We are thrilled to announce the launch of Khabusi Vision Care, a suite of intelligent clinical tools built specifically for optometrists, ophthalmic clinical officers, and eye care innovators who want to practice smarter, not harder.

Whether you're in a high-volume clinic in Kampala or running outreach in rural Uganda, the tools we've built aim to elevate your clinical decision-making, optimize patient outcomes, and bridge the gap between traditional care and modern technology.

Clinical Tools Made for Real-World Practice

At Khabusi Vision Care, we’ve asked: What do eye care professionals really need at their fingertips? The answer is speed, clarity, and intelligence—without the complexity.

Our initial launch includes tools like:

Each tool has been designed to simulate real-life clinical thinking, back it with research, and deliver fast, contextual guidance based on the information you provide.

Spotlight: RxAdapt – Predict Spectacle Non-Tolerance Before It Happens

We’ve all been there—a patient returns unhappy with their new prescription. They complain of “dizziness”, “pulling”, or “I just can't get used to them.” Despite a perfectly written refraction, you’re forced to troubleshoot subjectively.

RxAdapt changes that.

This tool intelligently analyzes:

  • The magnitude and direction of change between old and new prescriptions

  • The patient’s age, binocular vision status, and personality traits

  • Factors like suppression, near addition changes, and previous glasses use

It then assigns a risk score and gives practical, evidence-based advice to help you decide whether to:

  • Proceed confidently
  • Modify the Rx or counsel the patient
  •  Defer or refer complex cases

It even cites the clinical literature behind each decision, giving you peace of mind and educational value in one go.

“This is the tool I wish I had during my first year in clinic.”Timothy Khabusi, Creator

Built by Eye Care for Eye Care

Khabusi Vision Care is proudly developed in Uganda by professionals who understand the realities of clinical practice—the limitations, the pressure, and the need for clarity in moments of uncertainty.

We’re building tools that:

  • Respect your time

  • Amplify your clinical reasoning

  • Adapt to any setting—from hospital desktops to field tablets

  • Will grow with your practice and needs

We Want Your Feedback

We believe these tools are just the beginning. But the real magic happens when you—the eye care community—start using them, breaking them, improving them.

We invite you to:

  • Test the tools

  • Send us your feedback

  • Collaborate on future features

  • Spread the word to your colleagues

Let’s build the future of African eye care—together.
